Anyone played around with this? I'm not sure how scientific it really is ('not very', I would think), but it's quite fun comparing 'identical' shots of many different digital cameras. I compared the shots of my E-1 with my old Sony F505V, and it made me realise how far we've come (thankfully ). It was also interesting looking at the E-1 / 20D comparision, particularly the 'Indoor' samples. The E-1 has quite a pinkish cast on the face, but to my eyes seemed to have more detail than the 20D (this is not a troll! I actually preferred the 20D's tone, if not the detail). I thought the Fuji S3 showed nice skin tones in the Indoor shot, but odd highlights in the hair . When comparing the 'Dave's Box' images, the E-1 was definitely suffering in resolution and shadow detail compared to the higher pixel bodies, but that should be expected I guess.

Yes, I just did a D30 and 1D Mark II comparison. I liked the images from the D30 better.

Oh, well, so much for progress...
