Delicious. I find the garnishing to be a bit much as it overtakes the surface of the dessert. Perhaps fewer berries and either a single mint leaf, or the leaves placed together overlapping as one. I like the direction of the light. I get a sense the light coming forward from the rear is a bit punchy. To my eye there's a lot of white in the image where color used to be, like the highlights on the mint leaves and portions of the crust. There are areas where the white highlights on the tabletop meld into the white towel so the table surface sort of disappears. That is a subjective take on my part and could be something totally intentional on yours. I really like the fall of the shadows defining the fluted edges of the baking dish.

I also like the directional quality of the light. The exposure seems a bit bright, and I'd like to see more detail in the background. Maybe less fill light?
I also think the yellow cobbler on the left could be brought to the right more towards the center of the shot. As it is there's so little of it showing that it might as well not even be visible. |

Don't know...could have been a shoot to format...leaving room for text. Don't mind the blown background, per se...as long as the hero is properly exposed. But yes, to my eye ...it's a tad over! But somebody was happy with it...if they gave approval!

Thanks for the comments. This is a portfiolio shot. Their is no towel in it, there is a plate with the hero on it, sitting on a curttong board (that is overly light wood) sitting on a white table cloth. On my monitor the image doesn't look over exposed, so I'll recalibrate and then look again. It's possible I need to bring it down a little.
