Howdy everyone, I've been thinking about buying a Nikkormat FT-2, and wanted to findout what the general consensus is on this camera make and model.
The reason I've been looking at this particular camera model (and I know that there are other models that are better like the F3) is that I have a couple of non AI lenses that I want to use for more than dustcollecting shelf sitters, and I read about this camera's features, and that it uses a modern 1.5V silver-oxide battery that is easy to find. I know that the reason is a pretty daffy sounding one, but I did something years ago that I guess would be considered about as daffy as this. I found a Sunpak 2000 DZ flash when I worked for a car rental company that was never claimed, and so I went to the local pawn shop, and bought a Pentax ME super for it. Is that a daffy reason or what? Lol!__________________

Congats! My first 35mm camera was the FT-3 back in the late 70's and I loved it. All 3 of my kids used it in their high school photo classes and they loved it. Great find!
