Sounds like a nice set-up. Honestly I didn't know they still produced those new. I still shoot with my Leica IIIF, but it needs to go in for a CLA and shutter curtain replacement.

Please post some shots when you get the camera. I'd even like to see some shots of the camera itself. Film Lives!

I used to shoot with a borrowed Leica M3 and some Leitz and Nikkor lenses. I've always wanted to have a rangefinder like the Bessa, but I can't justify owning another film camera.

With two 35mm bodies, three lenses, for me it was either get a rangefinder or move to medium format. I ended up going with the later, and will hopefully be shooting more 120 film soon.

Now that's a beautiful camera! That's what a camera should look like.

Mmmm - Not sure what happened here

I thought I'd edited this original post with some extra text and a link - it appears I replied to my own post instead (I find I get better responses this way )

Ah well ignore this and read below ...

Nice! - I've thought about getting myself a Bessa (R2 or R3 model) - Just can't really justify the expense at the moment, although they are good value, it's the cost of a couple of lenses as well...
I have a local dealer who sells these, and it's so tempting

Cheers, Sean.
Yes I've heard the Voigtlander lenses are pretty good, and not too expensive either.

I had an old Russian rangefinder many (many) years ago, and always liked how quiet it was compared to SLR's and all the mirror slap noise you get from them.

Great skin tones, fantastic detail, and what contrast! This makes me want to get my Leica IIIF out! Good job, and nice work getting re-interested in film.
