The pro neg films are less contrasty and the grain structure is not quite as good. For your purpose the Superia....or Reala would be a better choice. You might as well use 400 instead of 200 Fuji since the grain is the same, (RMS 4). The best choice imo would be Fuji's Reala (100 ISO only)....cheers.....Bob

Sean, I hope you don't mind hijacking your thread for a second.

Just bought two Kodak films, one color the other is B&W, and put them in the fridge. My question is, how long do you leave them outside in room temperature, after taking them out of the fridge, before starting to use them.

Thanks Sean, and sorry for the silly question.

I have heard some use it after about an hour, but others leave it out a day or so. I don't think from the fridge to room temperature is a huge deal, as far as "condensation" goes. If you take it out of the fridge and run and jump in the car when it is 100 degrees out is to intelligent of an idea...

I usually leave mine out about a day before I use it.

You can take a pair of ice cubes out with the rolls of film; when they're completely melted, the film's good to go.

With the weather here that will be 5 to 10 minutes. Are you sure about that, Michael.

Edit: Just saw your reply, Sean. So an hour is good to go, or at least it's the minimum.
