Got an interesting website, Freestyle Photographic Supplies .Love those 645's.Got an ETRSi,Bronica.Looking hard at the Pentax 645AF or the Mamiya 645AFD.Suppose it will come down to lense prices.Shot a karate school with Kodak 400VC.92 people in the group photo,20x30 enlargement made and no hint of grain. The Bronica was hard to focus in the low light so an AF camera is next.

Hey, nice to see someone else who goes to James Dean. Here's my dad with his Ford truck that has a Lincoln Continental V8 in it that he takes to James Dean every year. These were shot with his cheap camera that he's holding in his hand, and I scanned them with my cheap little HP photo scanner that I bought at Wal Mart.

Nice "Hot Rod". I have probably seen it at the festival, but haven't been there in a few years.

I have a Canon EOS 850 with the Canon Zoom EF 35-70mm 1:3.5-4.5 and a Sigma Zoom 100-300mm 1:4.5-6.7 UC.
Plenty of pictures taken, just how do I post them here?

Julian

PS: Also have a Canon A560, Canon A590IS, Nikon L3 and a L12 point and shoot digital cameras.

It is a beautiful and touching image. But I think the sergeant is Army, not USMC.

Thanks to all for your kind replies. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I noticed him standing pensively over a gravesite, and figured it was a buddy or loved one. As Soldiers often do, I thought that he may salute the grave, so I focused and waited. About three minutes later, he saluted, and I tripped the shutter. He never knew that I was there. It took me year to track him down, but eventually I did. I presented him with a large metallic print of the image. He was quite touched by it. He also explained to me the details behind the gravesite and who it was. I've posted his letter to me on my Flickr site.

We stay in touch now.

Kiron Kid
