I really like those. Did you simply overexpose the background by a stop or so and she naturally ended up being solid black? she looks so black it looks like you did it in photoshop. Just saying because I'm interested in the technique. I didn't think there'd be that much of a contrast. The look awesome. Love several of the poses. I may have to try this.

Thanks for the comments!I was in a long barn that was fairly dark and it was a bright day out. So I actually stopped it down about 2 stops so I could get some outdoor detail. then in Lightroom I converted to B&W then adjusted the contrast a bit.

I like these a lot, but I think you would have had stronger images if you had bumped the shutter speed and opened up to your widest opening instead of "stopping down". The greater depth of field makes for a busier background. Going with a faster shutter speed would have blurred the background and made the background compete less with the subject. You could use a gaussian blur to make it happen post shooting but I find it is a better result if you do as much as possible in camera.

Thank you for the pointers! I'll give it a try when I am in that situation again.

No one has mentioned it yet, but I'm bothered by the stuff hanging between her legs in #4. I'd clean that up. Otherwise, they are nice silhouettes.
