Yes, Nicolas and I should trade! Actually, Lisa Martin, the lovely young lady with the Mohawk, is unimaginably nice, positive, friendly and weird! She is into alternative life styles and I heard through the grapevine she is coaching boxing. She lost this fight to Cristal Morales (see below) but then she was probably almost twice as old. I would shoot her again anytime. I believe she links to images of herself on my website from a members only forum.

I liked both shots... but #1 is super.. deserves place in any commercial aplication you wish (magazine add, editorial, folder, brochure, outdoor, you name it) perfect lighting... great mood, great color interpretation, great composition, great feedback from the model....

I shoot at the Chumash Casino Resort ... although a contractor (versus a full time employee), I am the "House Photographer" for the Entertainment Department. The boxing and MMA events that I photograph are at least partially televised on ShowTime so the lighting for all bouts is TV quality with no flash allowed during the rounds. So, the short answer to your question is, "Yes."

Dwight i like those, even i can not say that boxing counts among my favorite sports.

Lee, it is always fun to work with Lyn. Lately we had a lot of smaller sessions focusing each time on one theme. She is a friend of the family and each time she visits we play around and i try to find a theme that fits her mood. I do have some closeups that i need to finish, which show more extreme attitude. They will follow.

Yes, Derek, i played around in Lightroom and finished things off in PS. I did more extreme skin smoothing to enhance the shadow line in the first one. As i used a spot with gel, i got that nasty blown out arm on the second one as i did not pay attention that lights sum up)

having posted in another forum i got a comment to add some bruises (as make-up) on the second one.

stunning images, a would not want to box with a model like that
