Me and model Linda got together and decided to try a bit of faked commercial photographs for her and my portfolio.
Shot on a Canon EOS D60 (old but golden still and using two Hensel Compact-b flashes. Had loads of fun ![]() ps. the HuBBa Phone cannot be purchased =) ds. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________

All pretty good. Really good for a 2nd time shooting this type. I'm not a fan of #2 due to the angle looking up her face. Maybe it is me? For the same reason, the last isn't great, but the whole composition of the last lessens the looking up her nose syndrome. If all that makes sense...
And rock on with the old D60. A fine tool. Used to have one. Now I shoot with less MP's ![]() |

#3 is my favorite. I think it's awesome. Are the highlights in her hair reflected light or are they glowing?
For product shots (#1 and 4) I would suggest poses and camera angles which better show the product, especially a logo, if one is present. |

Thanx for all the feedback guys. I will definately avoid the "up the noseshots" in my next session =)
The highlights in her hair are reflected light. As you see on the other shots the hair has a lot of plastic tubes in it and the highlights you see in the #3 shot is from a softbox. The product shots was funnily enough done as a sideline. She had just bought a new phone just before the shoot and got one with a matching color to her hair so i basically said "Great! now we have a prop!" =) Will definately work on that more in the future for more "planned" product shots. Totally agree with that the logotype should show more clearly if its at all possible. Phones might be an exception as the logo's can be so small you will basically not have anything but the phone in the picture if you want to show it. I could however used slightly different angles and gotten in closer to the model. |
