A few more of Athina....

I had a session with Athina today. She had new clothes she wanted to try. I have a background I wanted to try. Unfortunately, I couldn't use it so I went with this plain background.

I like the idea of low key. I gave it a try for a few of the images. Time was getting away from us both so we'll be continuing the session tomorrow. I have a few more to process and will pop some more up as I get there.....

You just keep getting better. Makes me jealous

I simply love the first image. Athena has a look that says, "I'm really interested in you.". Nicely done. Tell her the dress and earrings are great and that she has a beautiful smile.

In the second image having both hands in the hair doesn't work for me and the massive set of bracelets pulls the focus off Athena's face. The bracelets are interesting but I don't know how to incorporate them properly into a portrait. Hopefully someone else will tell us both how to do that.

I would have offset the third shot a bit more to camera right to move Athena off dead center.

Number four my second pick, but it makes me want to see both dimples.

The hands need to be more edge on in the last image. Not smiling works in this image but I would love to see Athena smile more - her smile is so beautiful. I hate seeing bra straps and cups showing up in images. I know it is "acceptable" with the younger generation but it just looks sloppy to these old eyes.

Like you I really like the first image....

In the 2nd, Athina loves the bracelets and bling. Me, being an old curmudgeon just doesn't know about fashion. I leave that to the experts. I do agree with you re the hands in the hair.....

re #3, The crop bothered me. Thats the SOOC crop. I played with it for around 15 minutes but couldn't get something I was happy with. I did try giving more negative space to camera right as well as cropping tighter height wise. Just couldn't seem to get a crop I liked though... Ah well.....

I agree with you re #4 as well. We'll be doing more in that vein. I'm pleased to say she really likes that style for her.

re the bra cups showing, Yup, Spot on again. I'll show her these as she hasn't seen them yet. She wants to do more with this outfit so I'll be suggesting that perhaps the bra is detracting from the images.

I am slowly getting Athina to do more than the beautiful smile that she has. Sometimes other expressions are needed for the images I have in mind. She's slowly getting there like me....

Great job, nice colour & lighting. One thing that bothers me is the distracting double catch lights in the first few images.
