We made it out again. This time I used a real dslr camera, but still no assistance.
We were able to take out time and had more fun, which comes out in some of the other photos we took. _________________________________________________ One in the famous window. 1 ![]() _________________________________________________ Out on the sandstone, everyone should have a chance to shoot out here. 2 ![]() _________________________________________________ Almost a smile 3 ![]() _________________________________________________ I would appreciate and comments on these two photos. I know there are strength & weakness in both, but still want other opinions on comparison &/or improvements. 4 5![]() Our next goal it to get a better smile more consistently, she still forces it too much. Comments are encouraged. __________________

I knew they were not perfect, but almost 200 hits and no comments? At least somebody say something bad about them.
![]() That is the main reason I am here. To learn from everyone. |

Image 1 is a nice shot! I think I would have tried to keep the wood she is leaning on more vertical. Still a nice shot.
Image 2 is my favorite although the jacket is kinda distracting. Image 3. again, a nice shot. The sunlight is a little hot on the right. Image 4. Watch out for missing arms. try to keep them in the frame whenever possible. Could use a little saturation. Image 5. Better saturation, missing hands. Take these critiques for what they are worth I am by no means a pro but I know what I like, and I know what it's like to put your stuff out there and not get any responce. I would rather hear IT SUCKS than nothing at all cuz that really sucks. Rick. ![]() |

I think the poses look pretty nice, I agree with Señor Cabeza to watch out for missing body parts. The lighting on 3 and 4 look a bit flat with not much contrast. I would probably soften it touch with a Gaussian blur and even do some softening on her skin. If you don't like what I have done tell me and I will remove the pic.

Thanks to both of you, ya know 16 years away and the basic rules get fuzzy, I knew somethinfg was off, but could not put my finger on the missing body parts. Had to have the jacket in #2. It was all of 40degrees with the sun going down, and the sandstone sucked the heat right out of both of us. Great place to shoot tho, we only hit a small area of it. This is what I like to get, actual help! |

I agree that they are nice shots, I am a long way from really good or excellent, but I feel I am improving. Thanks for the opinion. |

I like #2. Enigmatic...
I might try to find a little tighter crop though. |

I do like the tighter crop of #2 Before the crop my eyes kept bouncing back and forth between here face and her belly. The crop fixes that.
Of the two in the crevasse I like the first one best but neither one really works for me. The second of the two just has to much going on. All in all good work keep after it. ![]() __________________
