Yeah, #3 be the one. Did you break that one horizontal slat of wood to accomodate the composition? it looks like a fresh break compared to the aged-look of the rest of the wood.

Very cool concept. I agree about #3 being the best. The model's hand is more strained than in #2, and the strain supports the effect that I think you are trying to convey here. Also the expression in #3 is more appropriate IMO, althou as a series #2 could work to tell a story.
What I like about #1 is the application of water to the model's right glove. (sweat.) I would like to see the model's face wet with sweat as well - his hair already looks wet. Cool series. __________________
