I had a problem. How to use my on-camera flash and off camera flash at the same time at weddings (or anywhere). I use a Reporter Flash... Hey everyone! I had a problem. How to use my on-camera flash and off camera flash at the same time at weddings (or anywhere). I use a Reporter Flash Bracket (one of the best that I have found). Well, here's the solution that I came up with. I took an old cold shoe flash holder and drilled and tapped it so I could mount it to the flash bracket. The Alien Bee flash trigger has a little cord that goes to the PC connection of the camera. So now, I can set up my AB800 on the other side of the room to provide ambient light, and use my on camera flash (bounced) as the main light.
