We played at home last night. I had the ISO on 4000, aperture at 2.0 and ss of 400. There might be a some variations until I settled in on the above settings. I sat on the first row, a little behind the basket (couldn't sit at the ends, cheerleaders were there; also, if I sat on the ground, I might not get up :)).

Shot a nice quarter final game today with the outcome of the game coming down to the final two minutes. Used a Canon 1D MarkIIN, Canon 300 2.8L IS w/wo 1.4 TC, and varying ISO as it got later in the afternoon.

This stuff is fun to shoot. There's not many opportunities to get shots off. Competitors make only one pass for the entire event. So the picture is either there or its not. Here's one attempt.

Flashed HS Football Playoffs

Semi-final level 4 playoff game for our Hurley Midgets, and they were defeated 25-0 :mad:

They just could not capitalize on the 4 turnovers, or get the running game going :mad:

It was still an EXCELLENT season for them :afro: (One game short of going to State)

All photos shot with the 1D Classic w/ 70-200 f2.8 and the rest of the exif is intact. I used this set up, and the flash on ETTL +2/3
