very good!.
1. Set the cable of your current pc monitor to your old pc. With a bit of luck both are of the VGA type. 2.power on the old pc 3. put in the usb stick 4. put the file you want on the usb stick 5. power off the old pc 6. reconnect the monitor to your current pc 7. boot your current pc 8. put in the usb stick 9. enjoy the view of your image! __________________

Thank you very much, Rense.
See. I could get creative if I allow myself to use the current PC, and probably will get those old photos back. Unfortunately, if I play with the cables I'm sure I won't be able to put them back again. I kindda like KJ's suggestion(s), in that to access the data without using the current setup. Sort of an independent/stand alone solution, if you will. |

take photo's before you play with cables, print the photo's and there is nothing that can go wrong.

You're going to have to work a little for this. Or hire it out. But don't keep stringing people along when you've had a number of good, valid solutions here. |

aam1234,
the post will not be deleted, because brian is right, you should have stated in advance that you don't want to do any tinkering, even not as simple as tempory plugin a cable from one socket to the other socket that is dead easy. In that way I didn't need to put up my advice, where in the end you are not acting upon. |
