You've got photos on your notebook and photos on your desktop. You want to synchronize the two so that both machines have identical files, the latest.
Which program do you use for this? Anyone have suggestions? __________________

I'm still using the same old HolmesSynchro.
![]() I take my backup drive and copy the files in and that pretty much does it. Back up as I go. I do need to getr another backup drive to backup my backup though. |

Yeah, I've used SyncToy. It works pretty well and has plenty of options. I ended up installing cygwin and using rsync instead though, as that lets me back up to my unix server, and also runs as a silent periodic batch job so I don't need to think about it.
You can even use rsync to synchronise to a remote server over something like ssh (encrypted), or set up automatic version control. It's pretty powerful, although it's probably a bit user-unfriendly for general use. Cheers, Tim. |

I think I've tried many of them.* This is the BEST I've found for free.* It's called SyncBack and it's great.* I use it to sync to my external hard drives and you can configure it to do different kinds of syncs or backups
