Default Still love my Macbook Pro

I switched from a PC to MacBook Pro about a Month and half ago and love it.

I had a problem yesterday and called apple's 800 support #

An English speaking human answered in about 10 sec and fixed the problem.
I ask him where he lived and he said Calif.

This to me is worth a lot. I remember the days when I set on the phone for an hour talking to a Dell or IBM tech that I was having a hard time understanding as they were reading from a script.

I don't own any Apple stock, but I hope they put Bill Gates out of Business.
Glenn

Quite the contrary, imo: once you try Mac, you never go back.

It is nice to hear people speaking the same language I try to speak. LOL I worked for Dell and it was interesting trying to call tech support for our workstations. My wife switched to Apple and after a few years she took me there too. At day I do Windows 2003 Server for web development and at night I use a MacPro. Love it!

I have iMac 20" first intel version, and a MacPro 2 x 2,26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon. To buy a Mac is very expensive and as long as there are idiots like me who pay the prices, the prices will not come down.
I have not had any problems with macs I have owned. Now I bought Snow Leopard for 28 € and that is nice.
I like mac but love ... not for me ... as long as I manage with ...

Aside from stock, Bill Gates isn't really "in business" much any longer. I doubt anyone can really make a dent in his billions unless he let them.

While I'm glad for your continued success with your Mac, I don't see the point of this thread except for bragging and bluster. It's really no different than creating a "Nikon is better than Canon" thread or whatever. What exactly is the point? These are typical DPR threads but PC really doesn't support that kind of culture well.

I think the OP's point is he was able to speak to someone who quickly resolved his issue in the language he understood.

Being an International board though this could lead to a flame war. I understand this is not the OP's intent. We all get frustrated by BAD customer support/service and he is relating something positive that happened to him.

Nothing more need be made of it.

No - then what it this for?

"I don't own any Apple stock, but I hope they put Bill Gates out of Business."

Brian is exactly right.

My point is this....

I've read a lot of posts from members that are thinking of moving to a Mac and are afraid to. I never said or indicated that Mac is better than PC

I was simply stating that I made the move after almost 30 years of PC and havn't had any problems using the Mac.

As for Bill Gates going out of business, I'm always for the underdog. Apple has a small percentage of the market and Bill has always wanted to put his competitors out of business.

There is nothing wrong with me speaking English and wanting good customer service.

I still want someone to answer the phone in less that one minute and speak good English. I don't care where he's from.

LOL...I wonder if you see the irony in this statement with regards to the iPod and the Zune. Who is trying to put who out of business??
