Help using PS to remove red cast from photo.

I took this photo of my daughter and wife, and it has a red tint to it. I had RAW turned off, and the white balance on my 40D had been acting up. (The white balance was fixed by resetting the camera).

I've tried removing the red cast with Photoshop, but the photo (especially the white areas) turn greenish or bluish. I've tried adjusting the levels (auto and by hand), the channel mixer, a cooling filter, and lots of other things.

If you want to take a crack at fixing it, feel free. I would greatly appreciate if you post the tools and settings that you use.

mhhh ... quite a challenge:

1. search for a tutorial "correct color cast like a pro" on this side.

after that

2. reduced the remaining green cast a little by reducing the saturation of the greens
3. added a slight warming filter

well sharping is possible which would introduce more noise.

If recorded in RAW format, use the white balance eye-dropper on the t-shirt
