OK here it is. My computer worked fine, but I had a free copy of Avast anti virus. At the expiration, I purchase PC tools Registry Mechanic, and Spyware Dr. I have had good luck with them in the past.
Now, I can get sound with all of my iTunes, DVDs, and some downloads. However, if I try to play an item off the web, like youtube, I get no sould only a rumble in my speakers like Darth Vader is walking up on me. Registy is clear, and no viruses. It isn't my connection, because my laptop, which is Vista OS works fine all over. Any idea? __________________

What browser are you using?
Uh just wanted to let you know to Avast can remain free you just have to register it free of charge. Becareful with registry mechanic you can make stuff go downhill fast with those tools if you don't know what you are doing. Heres a vid on how to register avast |

Quite possibly not, but it won't hurt starting with the obvious and then narrowing the problem from there. It may be as simple as different types of audio output being turned down, or muted. It may need a browser reinstall or there may be missing audio codecs. Too little information about the system to really diagnose the problem.

If it is only Youtube and other internet sites that use Flash then that is most likely your problem. If you have sound elsewhere your sound card drivers will have nothing to do with it. It is most likely a Flash problem, a browser problem, or an audio codec problem.
Is it just Youtube? If not, what other sites? What browser are you using? |

Thank you all. I finally got flash 10 removed all the way and re-installed it. Works now, we'll see.
