Can't you close that port? Or do you need it open for other purposes?

According to the router's help file, checking "block internet requests" is supposed to block pings, but it isn't. I tried disabling UPnP, but no help there either. Probably just a bug in the router.

Sorry about your ? (question mark). Maybe you could use a graphics program to draw one (remember dilbert and the missing Q from the keyboard)? The M and E are worn off my keyboard...fortunately the buttons still work though! ![]() |

Typical spam. You wont find a pattern. (Unless you visit sites about Gambling, porn, ladies purses, scrap books and ice cream. )
There was a program years ago called 'Black Ice'. If you had an active line (when high speed internet was still very new and dial up was the norm) it would note the ip address of anyone who tried to ping you. It would note whether it was an attack or just a probe. But if you were one to leave your computer on all day, you would get tons of alerts. Its probably even worse now with broadband being the norm. |

Well, like you, I do visit porn sites a lot of course. But disappointingly, there's not much porn spam in those popups worth the moniker...

This one is a couple of years old, but I'm sure there's more...

One step closer again:
I'm now accessing the camel via a proxy, and hey presto! No more popups... So it's a doctored Javascript that targets specific geographical areas/ip clusters. Which explains why you don't have the popups, because when you target something, you obviously don't target other things. Like your geographical area/ip cluster, for instance... |

Do you actually read your responses? Again, you sound like a 10 year old.
Viruses do exist in the Mac world. Get over yourself. Feel free to stay in denial and win with the last word. Unsubscribed. |

Let's use that 'logic' for a minute:Well, as Micro$haft seems to be in the habit to try to get away with releasing as few as possible updates to Windows that address vulnerabilities, and never timely, it follows that there can't be many viruses for Windows, can there? LOL! ![]() |

LOL!
That's the clincher of course, the proof of the pudding is in the eating: you never had a virus (...). So there aren't any. LOL! ![]() Excellent! But does that make up for your BSODs? ![]() |

I haven't had a BSOD since Windows 3.1, I don't think. But if it makes you feel better to think that's still a problem go right ahead and think it.
