Default I'm my own worst enemy sometimes.

We had a power outage on Sunday that must also have had a spike.
It crashed my computer, and took out my main hard drive (C).
Fortunately, it didn't crash my drive I have all my photos on (D).
I also have two external backup drives.

Anyway, $100 later, and now a drive twice the size or the original (1 Terabyte) I have my PC back up and running.

I installed CS3, and even remembered to get the update for Camera RAW.
Instead of removing the old Camera RAW, I figured I'd just rename it.
My 50D CR2 files would open in Photoshop, but I could not see them in Bridge.
I fought with this all day.

I searched Google. I searched the forums. I cleared the cache. I looked everywhere.
Then I re-read the directions.

I went back in, and removed the old file I had renamed.
Ta-Da! Everything works.

It's a simple lesson. Follow the stinking instructions. No matter how simple they may seem.
