Default Upgrade to CS4

I just upgraded to CS4 and Lightroom from CS2 and can't believe how different it is. Trying to get the tools to show like I'm used to is a real chore. I'm sure that I'll get used to it, eventually, but by that time I should be behind two more upgrades.

While you CAN make the new similar to the old, I think the new interface is improved and worth taking the time to get used to using. Much better ACR, eh?

I am in the middle of restoring my production machine right now so I don't have access to CS4 at the moment ... but towards the right top part of the window should be a drop down menu that will let you select "classic" instead of the default layout.

YES!!!!!

I am totaly impressed with the new features, just can't get the hang of the new interface. I really like the way the files are tabbed now. ACR is the bomb!

It wasn't a "Classic view", but it got me back to where I'm more comfortable with the window.

Thanks

I would really try the new interface for a couple of days. IMHO it's really improved and saves you some clicks.

Have not read up on it closelyy enough. The P.C4 extended or in general the C4. Does it detract from your photo quality when working on it?
Many Softwares do and Lightroom seems the only one i kow of at the moment that does not screw up the quality. It actually retains it. But! It is a seperate program for it's own purpose and not like C4
Anyone?
