Hey All..
So I took heaps of pictures at my brothers wedding, he is not fussed on whether there professional or not. I have around 400 pictures shot with a Nikon DSLR, so the format of the pictures are .NEF. Now, what software could I use to convert every picture I have from NEF to Jpeg, and do a Auto Adjustment as well? Any idea's? Thanks in advance! __________________

If you use Photoshop, you can save the .NEF file as JPeg after the adjustments have been made

If you do not have PS you can use the veiw NX software and convert to either tiff or jpeg there.

You can use Lightroom to do that pretty quick. For the life of me though, why would you want to use an auto adjustment?

I am planning in doing it all manually, but at the moment I want all pictures, done as quick as possible, so a batch auto adjust, then convert to jpeg would do the trick, so some nagging people in my family can see the pictures, they don't know the difference between a bad shot to a good one!

You can do this in Photoshop ACR
In Bridge select all of the RAW files which you want to process Right click on one of the selected thumbnails and 'click' Open in Camera Raw This will open ACR and the thumbnails selected will be shown on the LHS of the ACR window. Select the thumbnails you wish to adjust and apply whatever settings you want to them whether they be Auto or Manual |

...or alternatively I think that this explains a very simple process of everything you want to do if you have CS3

I'm the same
I wouldn't actually choose to do this in Bridge/ PS as I have LR and now only use PS for serious editing. |

Agreed, but it sure is a worthy alternative. Funny how LR has changed my workflow. I am so used to using it I assume everyone else is too. I have get out of that habit I guess!
