Default 1.5 terabyte hard drive

Hard drives just keep getting bigger (and cheaper):

Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31500341AS 1.5TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive (bare drive) - Internal Hard Drives

I got one of these, and it's humming right along. No issues so far.

I have seen that they have been having problems with the 1.5Tb's. I don't remember now what it was, I will try to find the article. I think seagate is working on a firmware fix. Slashdot | Seagate Hard Drive Fiasco Grows

thanks,
Danny

Saw that, too. I got one with the latest firmware, though. Not a hitch.

While in Dallas for Christmas, we went to the after Christmas sale which was a real problem if one has a fear of crowds. I don't have fear but hate all the hub bub. In any event, my wife found 1tb Buffalo Drive Stations on sale for $104.00 for the external drive. Got two of them and they work fine.
