Riya is a new software product (currently in early beta) that matches names to faces. You initially add a name tag to a picture of someone and it then uses face recognition techniques to identify other images that match. Apparently it currently has similar recogntion capabilities of a 2 year old, which is not that bad when you think of it (my one year old can recognise the Paul household quite comfortably). The software does it's thing on the Riya website - seems like there is no way to have it run on your own computer. You have to create an album and upload the images. Seems a bit 'Flickr' like in its layout, and isn't something I'd personally be using, but the technology seems interesting.
