Default Voice Digital Recording To Written

Is there any way I could record information regarding my images on a digital voice recorder (or MP3 recorder which has voice recording capability) and then convert it to written text without having to manually transcribe it?

What about using a program like Dragon Dictates to convert from audio to text? or is there another way?

Writing down information in the field really slows me down but, I want to have the information.

You already mentioned it, but try Dragon Naturally Speaking. Or get a secretary

Default This is what I have chosen...

I will record my information using a MP3 player with record capability. In my case, a Samsung YP-T10 (which will allow me to do a lot more than just record my voice).

I will then transfer the MP3 files to text using a Wave to text converter which is described as follows:

Useful for converting MP3, WAV or WMA recordings of continuous speech recorded using pocket size recording devices or laptops, palmtops etc Outdoor recordings Voice Notes Voice Event Descriptions.

Wave To Text

Good question. I think Dragon NaturallySpeaking will work directly with digital files, and some digital voice recorders produce these. I have to look into this myself. Let me know if you decide on a particular digital voice recorder model.

DNS won't work with just any digital recorder.
I know that it will work with the Dictaphone 5250.
