I have the problem that my custom monitor color profile (created by ColorSpider) is occasionally not loaded by Vista at startup. The profile is not corrupted since I can load it manually.
Anybody had the same problem and can provide a solution? __________________

I'm not running Vista so it may be a bit different; on XP:
Right click on desktop. Select Properties - Settings - Advanced - Color Management. Be sure that your custom profile is selected as the default. |

That happens to me occasionally. The Colorvision startup is being loaded before my ATI Catalyst Control Center software is fully loaded. When that happens I just go to Start/Startup and rerun the Colorvision startup.
I'm sure there is a better way. |

Hi, thanks for the replies. The profile IS set as standard but for whatever reason it does not load from time to time. I can load it manually but sometimes I do not notice and then editing becomes a lottery. Will continue to google for a solution.

In the December issue of Shutterbug, page 69, David Brooks describes a bug with Vista that happens when you get an on-screen security alert with a pop up window that then interferes with the display profile function. You are left with a non-profiled display.
