How to easily create a web gallery

Hi,
I'm the main author of the following (free) software and I'm excited to speak about it

The purpose of it is to easily create a web gallery.
If you're interested, check at the gallery demos and download the freeware from here:

The software has four tabs on the top:
- Select Photos
- Touch Up
- Customize Template
- Publish To Web




How to create a web gallery in 3 clicks:
- From "Select Photos" tab, click the "add photos" icon (1st click)
- Select photos you want to put in your web gallery (you can use CTRL-A)
- Your selection will show as thumbnails you can reorganize by drag'n drop
- From "Publish To Web" tab (2nd click), click on "Write On Local Drive" button (3rd click)

Voila! your web gallery is ready! it is generated into folder "My Documents/httphotos"

It's woth a try to play with the "Customize Template" tab. Flash templates are available here. But it's going to be some more clicks!

I don't see anything different about your SimpleViewer template that isn't already available from the SimpleViewer download. And most image management systems (LR, Bridge, Elements Organizer, ACDSee, etc.) will generate lots of different galleries, as well as upload them automatically.

Neat. I am with Brian to some degree. I already have all of that with the software I own. It is still cool that you developed it, and gave back to the community. Have some K. I like the flip gallery though, very nice.

I started using Google's picasa 2 to do these types of photo layouts directly published to web. Lightroom uses the same templates as well, so no need to use other program during workflow anymore.

I now see that google released Picasa 3

I know there are many tools to do that. I started writting this one before Google aquire Picasa by the way. At that time, Picasa was quite unknown.
Some people switch from Picasa to my tool because they didn't like how Picasa works.

Regarding the templates, they are embeded, no need to install a third party plugin... That's simple! The SimpleViewer one: I'm not adding anything more to the original one. I only bring a tool that will process all the photos you have selected, help you customize the template, write the html, xml, flash files, so anyine can do it without any knowledge.

Because there are other tools doesn't mean there's no room for another one. Is it because McDo already exists that all other fast food should not? No, that's competition, and httphotos is a tool that will challenge the competition on web galleries.
