Aaaack. I am going to replace my 19"CRT, but I am torn. On one hand, a nice 24" would be large and impressive, but on the other hand, two 19"ers might be fine too.
I mostly use LightRoom2 and Photoshop. I am envisioning using the dual setup, but is it really that useful? I don't know anyone whose setup I could test drive. With an ultrawide 24", I can still spread my tools out and have a nice big work space.....but aaack. Just don't know what to do. Any thoughts? Suggestions? __________________

Is your 19" broken? Unless you don't have the space, why don't you keep it as the second monitor?
Another option might be to buy a 24" monitor and add a cheap 17" monitor along side. It's what I'm running. Basically my second monitor is a place to put all the palettes from Photoshop to get them out of the way and leave more room to show the image on the main. It's also where I put my iTunes window so I can see what's playing. |

24" monitors generally run 1920x1200 (2.3 million pixels), 19" run at 1280x1024 (1.3 million each).
2.3 vs 2.6 total pixels is virtually the same so from a straight pixel standpoint there's no difference. Since no difference I'd go for the 24" |

Well, I ended up with a Samsung 24" SyncMaster. It's pretty nice. really big! I'm thinking about adding a 19" to it that swivels into Portrait mode though. I think that'd be pretty awesome.
