Default Konica Minolta scanners

Can anyone help on this - I've just 'upgraded' to Windows Vista; only to find that Vista doesn't support the old drivers for my Konica Minolta Dimage scan 4500 II (or is it the otehr way round?). And KM appear to have gone out of the photography business.

Am I doomed to go back to XP?

Bummer. XP is still on my "serious use" machines. The world is moving slowly to Vista.

Is this the saviour? UK Konica have suggested to me that the company Vue Scan offer compatible software that will work with their Scanners. I've been on to their site and downloaded a driver that seems to work. Lets hope...

Another option is Silverfast scanner software. But they don't list a Minolta 4500 scanner. you could try emailing them and seeing if any of their drivers will work with your scanner.
