Default CS batching goofiness

So the last couple of batch actions that I've ran in CS (regular actions, not just Build Web Gallery, which has not exhibited this) have had a peculiar problem: Not only do the batched images go to the designated folder, but they also copy to the desktop. Of course this isn't actually hurting anything, it's just kind of strange. I'm not certain exactly when it started doing this, but it's been happening for the last several batches that I've ran for at least a couple of months. Thought I'd post and see if anyone else has seen this happen, and/or if there are thoughts toward a solution...

CS, OS 10.4.4 on a G4 Mystic

Edit> not CS2, CS

I batch process stuff almost everyday. I've not seen that behavior before. If you can't find a setting that causes it, you might try trashing your PSPrefs file.

Ok, I think I've found something, but still unsure of why.

It will copy to the desktop when I create a new folder to batch into from within the batch dialog, but will not when I batch into a pre-existing folder. Obviously the "duh" solution is to be sure to make a new folder before initiating the batch dialog, but I don't always do that...

Thanks Chip, I'll dump the prefs and see what happens there too, as I don't see any controls that would seem to affect that...
