Good Morning all,
I know that this is a rather elementary question, but I am i need of a simple solution. I shoot with a simple Nikon D40X and I shot alot of pictures on the Large JPEG Setting. Is there a means by which I can compress the entire batch of images to make them smaller? i.e. email friendly sizes? Down to the size of a 4x6 on screen? Feel free to close this thread once someone points me to the appropriate thread or offers a quick solution. Thanks in advance, NJ __________________

I use Adobe lightroom, it has a 4by6 preset and also allows for export to any size for the final output

if you want something that can batch resize quickly, and are interested in primarily that, take a look at the image resizer from FastStone - FastStone Image Viewer, Screen Capture, Photo Resizer .... Works well and it's free.

FastStone works well. Another free option would be BDSizer: BDSizer - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com

Irfanview is free and has a good batch image editing tool. I use it for renaming as well. Also if you have Photoshop or Elements you can set up action and droplets. Then you just drag your folder on to a droplet and you will have an output folder full of images all sized just as you want.
I'm going to put a tutorial on my site soon that shows exactly how it's done, but in the mean time check out irfanview. Google it. Cheers Max albumdesignforum.com __________________
