Default Best way to make a sketch

I am working in photoshop elements and am trying to create a clean sketch (only outlines) of a portrait to use for a wedding invitation. I have used the photocopy filter and am not pleased, too much noise on facial features. Does anyone know how to just get clean outlines no noise on important parts of the face? Any help would be appreciated.

I purchased this action set from Panos' web site and it does a nice job. Check out his site and see if it might work for you. If you are looking for a do-it-yourself approach, I have directions for another sketch effect in PS7... but you should be able to do it if you know your way around in elements.

Well if your using photoshop try this tip. Desaturate your image then duplicate layer. Then select the invert in the adjustments. Change the blending options to color dodge then select gaussian blur.. Adjust the blur for your preference. Hope it help.
