Default Uploading pics from Mac

I have a Mac as my main computer at home and a PC at work. Anyone know why it takes so damn long to upload a pic onto this site on a Mac. When I upload from my PC at work is quite fast. From home on my Mac it can take two to four minutes...

I'm betting that's got nothing to do with the one being a Mac and the other a PC, JACKCAT, but rather with the connections that differ, and with the providers' different performance.
Assuming you mean your PC-uploads take mere seconds the difference could be explained very adequately by that PC one being on a DSL or cable connection, while your Mac is on a dial-up connection.
Unless you have a brandnew top-of-the-line PC at work, and a 10 year old Mac at home.

Nope, both are about 1 1/2 years old, both on DSL.

I have a three mac's, no problem with slow uploading. You probably have a T-1 line at work and a slower upload connection at home.

I'm with Doug on this one. We would need to know the DSL speed for your home system vs the speed of your work system.

There are speed test sites you can run in a browser that let you see the difference. Run one at work and take a screen shot. Send it to your home e-mail. At home, do the same thing again and compare the saved emailed version to the version in the home machine's browser window.

Lacking that it could be network card settings. There are free utilities for OS X that will "tweak" the settings for better through put.

Take care,
