Yes I use skype and have used it for a long time. It is really good and the quality of the sound is very good. I have contacts living far away (they say that I live behind everything
) and calling for free is very nice. |

I have a grand total of 1 person who I can talk to via Skype. Love the idea though - and the new video options are cool.

Skype answer machine called SAM. FREE version is available. Further details here.* http://www.kishkish.com/sam/help.php
Ideal for when your busy making a drink or busy reading another webpage. Skype now does video. Very easy to use. They say ; You can call anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world for free. And you’ll always be able to do that. There are some other useful things you can do on Skype that aren’t free (but they’re pretty cheap, actually). The new, shiny Skype 2.0 Our best ever call quality. Smile, wave or say hello to anyone, anywhere in the world with free one-to-one video conversations. Easily sort your contacts into groups like ‘colleagues’, ‘friends’ and ‘family’. Display mood messages and your local time, so people know where you are and how you’re feeling. PS. Skype me on uk_wanderer . Not available at all times as I have other business to attend to. ukwanderer |

Have been using it for about 7 months and have been talking PC-PC (for free) with family in Bogota, Colombia for about 4 months. Good reception no complaints I use their pay service to call a land line in Colombia at a cost that is very competitive compared to AT&T or MCI.

I talk to family in the Netherlands on it and to Lorek too in Poland. It's a great piece of software, not too many problems other than occassional background feedback. Even that doesn't happen often. There is no lag in the conversation and the person could be in the room next to you with the clarity. It's better, imo, than Yahoo's chat programme. The only thing I wish that they would incorporate is the ability to send photos back and forth as in Yahoo Messenger. That's handier than sending them by email constantly during the conversation.

I use Skype almost religiously. I have clients based all around the world and Skype is a huge key factor in keeping everyone happy. They can see when I'm online and available for discussions, also the 5 person conference facility has been useful on more than one occasion.
If you haven't got it............ get it! |

And spend too much time already managing, organizing and synchronizing (the use of) those. So if Skype comes in I want one of the others out. I'm not yet ready to give up either, though. Not yet. |

Yeah, I got 3 of those too, and know what you mean about the managing part! I have a roaming mobile for the States, one for the UK AND another for Spain........... this doen't include my landlines. Sometimes I'm not actually sure who it is or where their phoning from. Oh well, it keeps the business flowing, but a real pain in the *rse if more than one rings at the same time in the bank! Wink! |

I really like Skype. Was introduced to it by someone in the UK and we talk each evening. I also like the chat feature (typing only) as you can use very long messages--not like MSN or Yahoo where you have to break up long messages into numerous small ones. |
