Ok I feel like an idiot. I just bought and loaded CS3 in an upgrade from CS. I made a simple save as jpeg action but everytime I do a batch process from folder to folder it actually saves psd files to the destination folder instead of jpegs
. For the life of me I can't figure it out.I made a simple save as jpeg action: opened file started recording file, save as, jpeg, high quality, etc., ok, ok close file stop recording This should be correct shouldn't it? I mean its been a while since I did any actions, but dang this is pretty simple unless I've just totally lost it. Someone please help as I'm not going to open up and do a save as individually on over 100 photos .Thanks, Craig __________________

Do you know about the Image Processor? It wasn't in CS. Go to the File menu, choose Scripts and then Image Processor...
You may not need to write a batch. |

Thanks Mr. Pickles, and I know what you mean about the coffee
It was getting late last night and I figured I had to be messing something up as my eyes were going crossed from post processing. As for your comment about picking jpeg....I've saved individual files using the action and it works great. It just puts them in the folder that it recorded to when i set it up. So I was a little concerned when doing the batch. But since I selected the folder all was well except for it saving it to psd instead of jpeg ![]() Tomrock, I did not know about the image processor. Thanks! I'll try that later today when i get home. |

Dr. Brown's 1-2-3 Process will do this: The Russell Brown Show. Russell Brown wrote the original Image Processor script, and this is an evolution of that basic tool.
