Most notable change is for printing on the Mac OS Leopard that people have been complaining about since the last upgrade. Hopefully they addressed that issue.

NEWS ALERT: Lightroom Update Being Removed and Rescheduled

The new update has some bugs. Adobe is asking users to uninstall both the LR 1.4 and Camera Raw 4.4 update and reinstall the previous version untill further notice.

They pulled it days ago....Microsoft doesn't pull theirs. They cram it on your system and you have to rebuild the whole box to get rid of it. Adobe told those who are having issue how to "go back".

I installed ACR 4.4 and so far no problems. But I have kept a copy of the previous version just in case. By the way, using the update button did not install ACR 4.4. I had to download that and install it myself.

Some (lots) of people have no issues at all. The only real issues are:

EXIF time stamp. When converted, Lightroom writes/updates the time to the file. This time stamp is incorrect (I think it is always midnight).

DNG Conversion error. Nothing is wrong with the converted file, but the Lightroom Develop module may pop up and error, in Windows versions (not MAC ones). When the file is opened, Lightroom checks all the meta data to see if some has changed. It believes the data has changed, maybe because of the time stamp. Either way, you can work around this by re-converting with the older DNG converter.

Olympus Conversion Error. When converting Oly JPEG images to other formats in 1.4 or 4.4, it will error out.

So most of the issues are worked around, but I think Adobe felt better pulling it and making it right that to leave something that is really broke out there.
