Cool photo/comuter image differ

I got a problem...after viewing my pictures on the computer and they look ok, after printing them the hard copies all look dark. Thinking it was my computer, I sent them out for printing. The results were still dark. I need help on finding a solutiion.

Get a calibration device for your monitor. Spyder, Huey, etc., are all good names for this type of device.
