Default How patient are you?

When it comes to learning new software, how patient are you? I find that I give up if I can't figure it out in one sitting.

Sadly.....no one can figure anything substantive in one sitting. I guess that is why many hire digital/graphic artists to do what the photographer needs done. Rates are all over the map, as are abilities.....but it's a route to consider.....cheers....Bob

I'm pretty patient but I also take it in small "chunks". If I get frustrated, I either jump to something else, walk away, or go beat the cat. I rarely do the last now since the cat started fighting back at 2am when I'm in a dead sleep.

Yeah I have to say that I am pretty impatient. Specially if I already know how to do it in another program. I gave up on NX pretty quick. I could not figure out how to look at larges sized pictures in the browser so I could edit out the crap and went back to bridge.

I'm fairly patient, but if I get bored I'll give up or try something else..

Lightroom was a slow starter for me, but because i realised it was (probably) going to be worth getting my head around, I kept at it and read the manual ( ), looked at numerous online tutorials etc. and it paid off. Thats not to say I know it inside-out, but I now have the knowledge to use it without thinking too much.

I'll screw with it for hours trying to figure it out..go to bed and the next morning, it is there in my brain ready to jump out.
