When it comes to learning new software, how patient are you? I find that I give up if I can't figure it out in one sitting.

Sadly.....no one can figure anything substantive in one sitting. I guess that is why many hire digital/graphic artists to do what the photographer needs done. Rates are all over the map, as are abilities.....but it's a route to consider.....cheers....Bob

I'm pretty patient but I also take it in small "chunks". If I get frustrated, I either jump to something else, walk away, or go beat the cat. I rarely do the last now since the cat started fighting back at 2am when I'm in a dead sleep.

Yeah I have to say that I am pretty impatient. Specially if I already know how to do it in another program. I gave up on NX pretty quick. I could not figure out how to look at larges sized pictures in the browser so I could edit out the crap and went back to bridge.

I'm fairly patient, but if I get bored I'll give up or try something else..
Lightroom was a slow starter for me, but because i realised it was (probably) going to be worth getting my head around, I kept at it and read the manual ( ), looked at numerous online tutorials etc. and it paid off. Thats not to say I know it inside-out, but I now have the knowledge to use it without thinking too much. |
