There's been a price drop on the 26 inch NEC LCD2690WUXI, so I splurged on it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Congratulations JDArt. I hope you have many years of enlightened editing, printing, and of course, fun with your new monitor. This one is rumored to be one of the best.

Good luck on calibrating it, it took me weeks to get my Samsung 26" corrected.

Sidebyte,

What was your problem with calibrating your monitor. Please share this because there is a whole lot of discussion of a disjoint and partially misinformed nature on LCD monitors ont here and it sure might help a lot of folks to read real experiences rather than reviews, claims and ads!!!!!

I'll use the EyeOne Photo as I have for the past several years. Never had a calibration issue with any monitor using that rig.

JDArt,

I also use the IOne Display 2 and I have had zero calibration issues. I used to use the Monaco OptixII and I also had zero calibration issues. These are the reasons I have asked Sidebyte to share his difficulties.

Until I obtained a professional calibration tool I used a couple of FREE calibators and they gave inproper results. After I obtained a reliable calibrator it works fine.

I would trade my monitor for that one, but I like the extra real estate on mine.

Looks like a great buy.
