Default OfotoNow opening problem

I recently installed Ofoto Now from Kodak, however when I go to open it I get the following message, "SORRY...you must have Windows Address Book installed,
Please install the most recent version of Internet Explorer" This is all very well but my computer is only one week old! I do have an addess book and I'm sure that this new computer has the latest Internet Exploer. Any suggestions? THANKS!!

Applications check for versions but don't always recognize a newer version. They look for a specific version instead (poor programming) or the software that it's checking changes version numbers drastically due to rewrites.

WAB (Windows Address Book) is a different application in XP compared to Vista...which, if I remember correctly, is what you're using now.

Contact Kodak to see if OfotoNow is compatible with Vista (contact info: Kodakgallery.com*About the Company? ). Given the fact that they no longer call it Ofoto after Kodak completed the acquisition, I suspect you'll need a newer version of the application.

You already knew that. You just had it validated.

Well, I am happy to say that I am using Ofotonow in Vista without error. It turns out that the installer does not like Vista, not the actual program. I have another computer running XP, so I installed Ofoto on that one. I then dumped the Ofoto folder (under program files) to a usb stick and copied it to my Vista system. It runs just fine, and I didnt even have to toggle any compatability settings. Hope this helps!
