Is there such a thing as "too big" when it comes to computer monitors? Do those of you with 24" and even 30+ find the view irresistable?
I'm considering moving "up" from a 21-inch standard sized flat panel. __________________

Okay, truth be told I now have my eye on this 27" beauty:
![]() 27" with the resolution of that thing would seem to be a great mix of readability and working area. Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 275T Black 27" 6ms(GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor 500 cd/m2 1000:1 - Retail |

JD, I have the Dell 27" monitor and it is wonderful. My eyes are older too and the larger I can make things the better. I do have a feeling that too large may make the eyes work harder taking the overall photo in, but for me at least 27" is just great. The Dell great for color and detail as well. There are some other threads on it which I used before buying. All the earlier problems have been worked out in ther series 4 unit which is what I have. Also works well with my Spyder. I suggest checking out at least 27". Good luck

Just my 2 cent's. I'm running a 19" LCD with a 21" CRT on the side. My graphic's card give's me excellent resolution in both monitor's, however, yes the LCD's pixel's tend to 'view' different than the CRT. Sorry to the point, I like to view the original photo in one monitor, and do the editing in the other. You might try this!
