Just got my new computer a few weeks ago with it on it. Seems to be doing good so far, just a few gliches here and there but nothing major.

I got an upgrade in the cd next to my computer. I am not gonna install it...until there is a hack to fix the DRM. cause if I can't download my music then there isn't a point.

As long as the actual computer does the job, I stay with winXP. The change to Vista will happen when I change the computer, hopefully not this year and not before at least service pack 2 of Vista is available.

Our IT guys say stay away! Too many things go bad and some very serious back door issues. They say if you must go to Vista, get the premium version and stay away from the lesser versions. My next puter will be a MacBook Pro!

Being another "IT guy", I'm curious why they say that? The reason I ask is that, based on experience with both Vista and other IT people who have opinions, 99 times out of 100, this opinion is due to ignorance and reading too many horror stories. Don't rely on WHAT they say if they can't provide a reason WHY. Trust me: they're not gods.

I have had Vista running in a business environment since early December. No issues with a variety of applications, including some older apps that should be dead by now. No issues with a variety of hardware. It even runs Aero with some fairly minimal video processing capability.
