I've got a 20" iMac, a 24" iMac (since yesterday), a 17" MacBook Pro, a 17" G4 iMac ('the lamp'), and Airport Extreme (superfast 802.11n wireless router).

I started in 1985 with a Macintosh Plus with 20MB external harddisk. Probably had something like 15 Macs since.

Want a laugh?
According to PC Magazine the fastest Windows Vista laptop on the market today.... is a MacBook Pro!

LOL!

On my desk is my OLD Syquest 33mb 5.5" hard disk just for laughs. We all had several of those we used to carry around in college. I keep it to remind myself that technology changes exponentially.

I've been on the Mac bandwagon since the (gulp) late 80's and haven't looked back. I still get a twitch in the back of my skull any time I try to use Windows

I've been a Windows user now for about 10 years... got tired of always having to tinker
with Windows to make it work anytime a new piece of hardware/software was installed.

Recently picked up a 20" iMac, 2.4Ghz System w/3GB RAM.
Love OS X and now I'm kicking myself in the backside for not switching sooner!

I went to the local Apple store on Super Bowl Sunday and brought home my first MAC. It's a 24" iMAC- 2.4g. beauty. I'm really impressed so far.

I'm 70 and figured it's time for a change. Besides, Vista software did not sound to appealing and I was getting a little tired of staying current with all the protection efforts required to keep my PC running smoothly.

Nice choice David (or should that be Rich David? ). I've the 24" too - the Intel one prior to the latest release. It's a fantastic workstation and perfect for photo editing.

Don't even get me started on my Vista travails....

LOL . That's a perfect summary (I say this typing on my Vista laptop - it's only for work purposes, honestly!).

I have used Macs since 1984 and now have an Imac with 2,8 GH intel Core 2 Duo and 4 meg of ram. My files are fairly large from a Canon 5D and things move very rapidly in Photoshop. I highly recommend.

By the way, Aperture 2 also flys.
