Best Downloads, Freeware, and Shareware Master List

As I have been traversing the threads here at the Camel, I come across a suggested download in one thread, or another in a different thread, and so on. I did a quick search on the Camel to see if a thread like this exists. Since I have wasted time and money in the past on shareware, freeware, and software downloads, I thought it would be helpful to gather all of downloads that folks here on the camel are currently using and they have found useful to improve their workflow, image manipualtion, web design, etc.

Guidelines:
Provide the name of the download and the link. Indicate if it is freeware, shareware, or inexpensive software.
Give a brief explanation of what it does.
If possible, give a brief explanation of why you like it and how you use it. (Is that redundant?)

Anything goes. By having the information in a central location, all of us can benefit.

If a thread similar to this exists already and I was unable to find it, I apologize in advance and would be most grateful if someone could provide a road sign to that thread. As soon as I locate that one freeware that was suggested for image manipulation, I will post the link here. It received good reviews by one of the Camels.

Advantages:
-easy to use and its a cool flash interface.
-free

I'm pretty sure a few people here already use it, but if you don't know about it and are looking for a cool gallery option this is worth looking at.

Freeware for image manipulation. Recommended by other Camels.

Opanda iEXIF for Windows. Freeware. Allows easy in-browser viewing of EXIF data, and properly identifies the actuations field on Nikon cameras D2H and later.

Photo Mechanic at Camera Bits. The best viewer/ingestor I've ever used. Expensive, but I don't have to pay for the software on the office computers. Worth the money if you want nothing but the best, and the updates provided in exchange for the subscription fee are actually worth it.

Filezilla is my favorite free FTP program.

WinKey is one the greatest utilities ever. It will turn your keyboard's Windows Key into a great key to use for shortcuts to open apps, files, all kinds of stuff.
