Default Driver update

My Pantone Huey doesn't work, and I read a post in DPR from a tech that works for the company saying ATI card owners need to update their firmware, which I did, but still not working. A member suggested that one needs to update ATI driver for it to work. Now here's the problem, I don't know how to update a driver :-[

I'm using XP Pro, and ATI's page for that card is here: http://www.ati.com/products/radeon92...200/index.html

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Download the driver and run it. It should update the driver.

Thanks Richard. The guy who had a problem similar as mine said that we need to delete the old driver first. Don't know how to do that either.

If it is the ATI video driver, then MetalStorm is correct in that you download and run. It should be an EXE.

As for the other guy saying to unload the current one, I'd think if you did, you'd be sitting with just a VGA screen resolution, and all your desktop icons will be mixed up and you'll have to rearrange them. Bad idea, but could be done if the first option doesn't work as it should...

If you must remove your old drivers, then google "driver cleaner 3.3" and run that.* It will remove nvidia and ati video drivers and you will have your windows default.* Then go ahead and rerun the ati driver exe to install fresh.

Actually, here's the link:

Thanks Richard. The requirements to install a new driver from ATI is just too complicated and need other programs. Why the need for MS's .Net is beyond me.

There are quite a few apps and drivers these days that need the .Net framework. It's a free download from Microsoft and is worth doing to ensure compatibilty with other software.
