Hi Frank..

Depends , would you use it in dim light without a flash ?
what are the needs and what would be nice and what gear you use further ..
the nikon has the most zoom range
the nikon is only 147 iso in dxo mark thus probably not the best (the others are too new)

the canon and nikon use a tilt and swivel screen (wich i do not like so much because when aged it can brake earlier and cause a malfunction.

so based on that the sony would be my choice

Yea I get you!

I ended up buying the P7100.

I read the reviews on the P7100 and people liked it so Im going to give it a try.

I was also going to the G12 but since the P7100 is almost the same price and has a bigger screen and pop up flash I went with that one.

i just had to poke ..

but anyhow a nice camera hope you get good pictures from it

just as i get from my latest addition to the troops ..
