Default You took this photo with what????

I printed a few 12x18 images of a building in downtown Raleigh, NC where my friend lives. When I showed him, his wife, and a neighbor the prints, the unanimous response was that my Nikon (D300) takes really nice photos.

When I told them that I took the photos with one of my smaller cameras, my friend said, "Wow, you took that with that Panasonic mirrorless (GX1) camera"? I said, "Nope. the LX-5."

He said, "No way!" I said, "Way."

I love the LX-5!

Noise? In this smaller version, I think what you see as noise is the grain in the actual stone material of the building, not noise. I just looked at my original image and the print. No noise.

Thanks, Steve. For a moment there, I thought I was losing my mind.

The LX-5 is a wonderful little camera.

These new camera's now a days are taking superb pictures. I bought a Canon SX 40 earlier this year and couldn't be happier.

Hi Friends
Theses cameras give very good results but I feel when you have to zoom quickly, you can not do, because these cameras have electronic zooming, you can not zoom manually, in DSLRs you can zoom within a fraction of a second manually .

Only Fuji makes Prosumers cameras with manual zooming facility.

Thanks
ak
