Default Need some advice

I hope I'm putting this in the right forum, if not, please feel free to move.

I have been asked to submit a quote to a PR firm to cover a "Meet'N'Greet" for a launch they're promoting. The full details haven't been released yet, but it will be at a motor dealership and will involve (I'm assuming) a vehicle and a number of officials.
We live in the tropics, so it will be an outdoor shoot between 10.00 am and 12.

I've covered events, and I've done some product shots, but never the two together like this. What would be a good approach to take with regard to positioning people in relation to the vehicle etc? Should I compose the shots like a portrait, or should I mix up the angles and heights to add a more dynamic feel?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to pick a subject either people or car to try and make both the subject will only confuse the shot. Either the people are the subject and the car is a prop or background or the car is the subject and the people are mere ornaments.

I would go with people being the subject and the car the background / prop and would work my angle and composition to flatter both as much as possible with a strong bias to the people. I would not be concerned with capturing the full car in every shot rather presenting different features of the car with the people

Thanks Bobby, sound clear advice. I'll go with your suggestions and make the people the focus.

Ask!! I did a similar shoot a few weeks back where the client rented a Lamborghini and wanted to see the entire car with anyone who wanted shots with it. I'm sure the client will be more than happy to tell you whether they just want to see the entire car or not. We certainly cannot tell you.

Thanks Mike, I'll certainly be asking when I get there, but the PR company is keeping all details confidential until the job has been awarded and I just wanted to get some advice ahead of time.
