Wait for 7D rework? - PhotoCamel

Hi, I am interested in the 7D but there is so much negative here I'm wondering if I should wait until Canon does some adjusting before plunging. I also do mostly sports and don't care about video. Thanks, Mike

It never hurts to wait a month or two, to let all the bugs get worked out. Black Friday would probably be a good time to order, as that gives it another month, and most US retailers put stuff on sale then.

Well, I would say skip the 7D altogether if you are coming from a Nikon. I just returned mine.

7D is a rush job it seems compared to a Nikon D300/s. I am not talking in ISO or high FPS or the Focus system. Mainly a lot of other smaller details.

It may seem a rush job compared to the D300s since the D300 has been around for ages.

yes, exactly why I said, skip the 7D altogether...wait for 7Dx or something. I am going to post my review of the 7D and why I returned it soon. I will post a link here.

How many times does the manufacturer actually "fix" issues with a camera that got some questionable reviews when released? I know sometimes they "fix" them, but does it ever really overshadow all the "bad publicity" the camera got in the first place? I think usually it is better to wait until the next camera comes out, but to each their own.

If you keep reading the reviews and going by that, you'll never end up with anything, or never end up with anything you like. Every camera has a weakness or ten, and ever one has a strength or ten. Laugh all you want at my avatar, but my gear beats your gear in a lot of areas. And yes, yours is better than mine too.
